Line Count UtilityUsage information. To use it, type in wc followed by a list all the files in a command prompt window. You can also pipe the output from another DOS utility into the program. The standard wildcards are accepted. If multiple files are given then individual statistics and the totals are printed out. The statistics output are the number of lines of code, the number of words, and the number of characters in each file. It is very similar to the UNIX wc utility. Examples:
